When my children ask me, "Dad, how do you know mom was the one?".
I will tell them,
"Cause she stuck through, right from the beginning without once second-guessing, through thick and thin. Ups and downs are common. But with every downfall, every mistake, every time We distanced ourselves, be it a break-up or just for time and space, We always worked and improved ourselves becoming more understanding, caring, patient and wiser. Understood the other persons' pain and reasons, and despite all the built-up anger, ego and pride, We still were drawn to each other and wanted each other. Not to receive love, but to give it in abundance instead. To add happiness in the other persons life. And when its true love, it will always be mutual and be it night or day, summer or winter, you will never give up, sacrifice wherever necessary and always keep pursuing it cause that Inner voice will always tell you that she was all worth it in the end.
