During this quarantine, I’m pretty sure this question might have come to you mind. Let me tell you, you can turn your hobby into a business and it’s pretty easy. You might have to struggle initially but believe me, nothing is as easy as it seems.
In today’s blog, I will share with you different ways of making money from your hobbies.
Let’s get started.
1. Music
If you know how to play an instrument, you can teach children or adults how to play. This is an extremely cool way of earning money.

I remember as a child I used to go to this person’s house twice a week. His name was Anthony. He was a retired government employee and also a musician at the church. After retirement, he started a tutorial. For one session of an hour, he used to charge Rs.500.
I might have spent a lot of money to be honest, and yes he earned a lot by just teaching for 2 hours a day. How interesting, isn’t it?
2. Videographer
If you love taking videos and if you’re really good at it, this might be an amazing way for you to make money.

There are many things you can do like shoot wedding videos which is in trend now. Decades ago, photographs were in trend but now people love to have their wedding videos. In fact, they pay a handsome amount and especially if you’re an excellent videographer, you can have your own demands. You can also shoot videos for hotels, restaurants or resorts which are also in demand lately.
3. Crafts For all the creative people out there, you can earn money by making crafts. This might not sound true but trust me you can. I know a friend of mine who earns pretty awesome by making an explosion box, greeting cards and many more.

There is some kind of investment needed for sure but, if your work is good than no doubt you will have your own clients.
4. Painting

If you’re a painter, you can sell your paintings and earn a good amount. Doesn’t this sound interesting? Other than that, you can also have your own painting classes.

All you need is a house, and some painting materials. I know a lot of kids who go to painting classes and spend thousands a month.
5. Teaching

Teaching is another beautiful talent that very few of us have to be honest.
I am not really a good teacher. I remember back in school when my friends used to ask me to explain something, I would literally confuse them to the core. But this is for those who have the teaching skills and the love for teaching.
You can teach kids at home without any investments. There is a lot of money in teaching, believe me. Nowadays, parents don’t prefer to teach their kids at home and lately I’ve seen even a 1st grader going to tuitions.
6. DIY (Do-it-yourself)
Have you ever bought something which was handmade? If you did, then I’m sure you know how expensive these things are.

Year’s back, when I used to do embroidery work, many people told me to sell my stuff online but I was a kid back then. Hence I didn’t really think about it.
But if you have this talent of embroidery, beading work, crochet or making handmade jewelry then, please do so.

There are many things that can be made at home. In India, people love embroidered bed sheets, pillow covers or even table cloth. I can understand if you say that’s a lot of work but if you’re a DIY person, you’ll enjoy doing it.
7. Blogging

If you love to write, than this is another good way of earning. There are different niche in blogging. The most common ones are Fashion, Lifestyle, Travel and Food. If any of these subjects interest you, then you should start blogging. Initially, it’s better to use the free blogging platforms like Blogger.com or WordPress.com and once you think your getting better at it, get yourself a paid website. Sqarespace.com is the best platform if you wish to create your own website. They have many offers for domain as well.
It will take some time for you to create an audience and start getting paid but it entirely depends on how you work, how good is your content and how consistent you are.
These were my top 7 ways of earning money. It’s easy to begin without much investment. It might take some time for you to be good at it, but once you are believe me; you will end up making a lot of money.
You will have to do a little marketing of your business initially to create an audience and to get clients. I would recommend using Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for marketing. You will find a lot of genuine clients there for your business.
After all, working a little hard on your hobby is worth it. Isn’t it?
