We frequently hear this slang "The 90s Kids were the most fortunate ones" or you may have heard, "The twenty to thirty-year-olds were the most fortunate children". Be that as it may, this comparison frequently happens while we see the present children who are locked in for the most part on electronic gadgets or contraptions. Have you at any point had this flashback what were you at age 5? How unique the world appears as though now to the one when you were a child?

The 90s child has encountered an existence where outdoor games were rarely missed. Those crevasse cricket match-ups with a typical common player and one Tappa out were unadulterated gold. Stapoo, referred to as Hopscotch would keep going as long as supper time. The streak of playing in open air would just break during board examination. The opponent teams be it any sport were consistently be named after their colonies. Consistently it was always an alternate game that were played some days it would be Kho-Kho, kabaddi, while the other days badminton, Hide and Seek etc. Shouting CHORR CHORR, the snapshot of relief when called DABPA while you were hiding, or being prodded on arriving behind schedule for TOMATO SAUCE were little happy moments of our life.
Truly, outside games made us close. The 90s Kid was lucky to have known to games that are played online today by this advanced age.
Aside from games, these children had encountered the genuine battle of discovering news, articles, reports, pictures and all related data for their school projects. They never sold their General Knowledge Textbooks of earlier years for that had all the photos which could be utilized in future for their very project. They were not blessed to have google or web but rather the main accessible source was to interface with seniors, experts to increase all the data for their venture. Picking the correct blend of sketch pens for composing headings and titles were the huge undertakings. The present age may have never observed the folders that we once used to present our assignments.
From binding notebooks and textbooks to the superman and sportscar themed label stickers, having stencil boxes or a three tired compass boxes we as a whole grew up through school life. Sharing shot messages on papers, playing X&O, scribbling on the last page and writing slam books were only typical to us. These things are elusive where updating Facebook status and posting Instagram stories are significant.
Parent's Day, Teacher's Day, Best Friend's Birthday was all fragmented without a customized card with a message that begins with "To the best..". We used to go to parties for Samosas and Wafers that accompanies soft drinks at somebody's birthday celebration and nobody would grumble nor talk about the extravagant party as children do today. Not to overlook those gatherings our Rickshawala uncle used after the end of each semesters.
Discussing movies and songs, Hermione was everybody's squash and Akon was the artist who was known to us other than Michael Jackson. Not just that, watching the shows on Disney and Jetflix, yes Jetflix, was normal. Each morning before going to class watching Noddy, Oswald, Tom and Jerry cartoon shows that we despite every time to watch. The 90s child spoke increasingly about the seven deaths of Undertaker and Shadow Ranger's outfit than a dubious remark by any celeb today.
Our fandoms were never of like GOT, Breaking Bad or like Peaky Blinders, it was Office-Office, Karishma ka Karishma, Son Pari or Hatim as far as fictions. Our family time was viewing a late-night film on Doordarshan each Saturday. Super Mario was the widely adored out of 9999 games game cassette.
Big Bazaar was our shopping centre and heading off to McDonald's after exams were our thing. Cricket and WWF cards assortment was viewed as the most valuable collection among us. Be that as it may, the White marble was the rarest to have in our collection and please note the first ball was always a Trial bowl. Learning the 7 digits landline number, educational tuition classes with a limit of 8-10 students was genuinely significant.
Night outs kept going till 9 pm which was generally acknowledged by us, in any case, playing in our compound was permitted after supper as well. Sleepovers used to start only after everyone ends studying their portion.
The world was wonderful at that point and really wish you were from that period to comprehend this blog. Feel pleased with being from the era of Sahara One, Cartoon Network, NICK and Yes early 00's sans vibe to share this as well.
