Back to the bay… With some ice cream in hand and a discovery playlist of today’s Hip-Hop hits thumping in my ears. It has been a pretty good day so far, if not, my energy would be so much calmer and my music would be a lot softer in-sync with this set up of serenity.
While making a buffoon out of myself, as my legs can’t stop themselves from dancing, and with the vanilla melting all over my shirt and people watching… but who cares? This day is a happy day, I am gonna live it in my happy way.
As I was sliding and wilding, my phone dies. It’s Zzzz in a matter of seconds even though it is something as trivial as this, there is a shift in the mood, it feels different and that’s exactly what makes me think that life has a rhythm beyond music! Which has the power to either make you or break you. Try and listen to do that, it can keep you ahead of anything that comes by. Heard of this term called “momentum”? In sports, they call it “form”, sometimes they call it “on a roll” and not just that, people in love call it “it feels right”, and us millennials can’t pass a day without talking about “vibes”.
We have that rhythm at every single instance of life. Even when I write this piece, there’s a flow and every time the words don’t fall in those chords, it simply doesn’t sound right.
Quoting my mate Shakespeare here: p – “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players…” very true and I think, on this stage, it’s more of a musical happening over a skit play. And all of us are constantly finding the right rhythm, the tone of our tastes, to produce the best song of our lives.
The funny part here is, this rhythm is absolutely abstract, you will never hear it, but you will watch it happen. You will never realize it, but always dance on it. So yeah, I am huge fan of rationality, but do not ignore this power of flow, try to follow it, add the right lyrics to these tunes and give it the right meaning, you never know, you might finish with composing the world’s best poem...
Hear that Symphony. Live a Poetry.
